Nicola Mattoscio

Nicola Mattoscio, until recently a Full Professor in Economics, is currently Honorary Professor at the “G. Marconi” University in Rome. He is the Director of the journals “Global & Local Economic Review” and “Il Risparmio”. In his research activity, he has primarily focused on:

demand for money, effective demand theory, financial intermediation, interest rate, general equilibrium and market processes, uncertainty, utilitarianism, experimental economics, inductive and abductive epistemology, ethics and globalization, human capital and knowledge economy, for what concerns General Economic Theory;
the articulation and applied development of models of local planning and experimental models of analysis of international, national, regional, sub-regional, and sectorial economic issues (including European economy, the job market, productive sectors, export, cultural and environmental economics, health economics etc.), for what pertains to Applied Economics.
In both fields, his findings have been circulated in national and international specialized journals. He has published a number of monographies and contributed to several edited collections published by national and international presses (including McGraw-Hill Education, Palgrave Macmillan, Springer Verlag, FrancoAngeli, CEDAM, Giappichelli, Viella, Rubbettino).
