Roberto Ricciuti is associate professor of Economics at the University of Verona, where he is a member of the Academic Senate and the Deputy Director of the PhD in Economics and Finance at the University of Verona, a fellow of CESifo and Visiting Professorial Fellow at the Global Development Institute (University of Manchester). works on several issues in political economy (mainly institutions, democracy and conflict). He received a PhD in Economics from the University of Siena and an MSc in Economics from the University of Exeter. He taught at Royal Holloway University of London and the University of Florence, was a Jean Monnet Fellow at the European University Institute, and a Visiting Fellow at Clare Hall College (University of Cambridge). Roberto received the NEPS Medal for the best paper in peace economics published in 2017, and since 2019 participated in several initiatives of the European Liberal Forum.
