Some states are absolutely determined to avoid becoming the next victims of Russian aggression. They are certain that reactivating NATO policy is the only way to avoid a future of instability. This event is of great geopolitical and European defense and security importance. The outbreak of the Russian-Ukrainian war has accelerated processes that were already partially underway. The crisis crescent and the policies of the European Union and NATO will be at the center of the European political debate in the coming years. The Russian-Ukrainian war has reignited a historical, cultural and political sentiment felt by those states that were affected by the Russian Empire and then by the seventy years of the Soviet era. The forthcoming publication of Towards a New Iron Curtain will provide the starting point for a discussion of this important topic.
